Samina works on a range of technical, economic analysis and design-related positions helping clients assess their clean energy potential and recommending the right equipment for delivering results. Whether designing solar electric and solar thermal systems or performing an economic analysis, Samina combines multiple technical skills from start to finish. She develops solar financial models with environmental analysis of both costs and recovery phases. She selects components for site-specific PV designs including interconnection points and inverter issues. And she has led front-end projects, evaluating potential sites and materials thanks to experience with the latest green-certified building products.

Specialty:

Samina has completed solar power and solar hot water feasibility studies, designs and economic assessments including a 25-year forecast of cash flow and environmental benefits. She has managed:

  • shadow flicker analysis for commercial-scale wind turbines
  • commercial-scale photovoltaic systems
  • GREEN building supplies with reviews of hot water/heating systems and passive solar design
  • a retrofit project with Wellesley College converting an electric van for solar power
